ABOUT MEAGRICULTURE BACKGROUNDEDUCATIONINTERESTING FACTS |
Hello to each of you! Welcome to my website. I hope that you find it to be beneficial. My name is Alex Skidmore and I excited to return to NBHS for another year. The 2020-2021 school year will be my fourth as an agriculture education teacher and FFA advisor. I previously taught agriculture at Owen County High School in Northern Kentucky for two years. I love everything about this profession from getting to introduce students to the basic principles of agriculture to teaching them economic principles that will benefit them through better farm management and watching young leaders flourish from shy freshman to FFA Leaders by their senior year. There is not a more rewarding career out there!
I was raised all around agriculture. I have experience from a young age working with cattle and horses, along with at a greenhouse operation. I try to have a garden each year and have raised chickens in the past. I am a 2014 graduate of Bullitt Central High School and was an active member of many organizations. I was on the swim team and shot archery. I was an active member of Bullitt Central FFA and received my American FFA Degree in 2016. I graduated from Murray State University in 2017 with my Bachelor's of Science in Agricultural Education and my Master's of Science in Agriculture with an emphasis in Agricultural Education in 2019. Some fun facts about me: I have seven German Shepherds who are my babies and you will hear me talk about them constantly. They are Belle, Tucker, Gypsy, Hope, Bowser, Grace, and Duke. My Pandora Station can usually be found on 90's, 2000's, and Today's Country Music. If I could be anywhere at all I would spend my time at the beach. One of my top bucket list items is to visit all open lighthouses on the mainland US. My favorite color is purple and I love Dove Caramel Chocolates! I can't wait to learn more about you! |
